This is your mission
As Deputy Unit Manager, you will lead and coordinate the work of the Regional Unit in Bergslagen regarding operational activities within all areas of the Security Police's operations. You will be a manager at an indirect level with responsibility for the section's personnel and budget. You will also be part of the national management team for the unit, where you, together with the other deputy unit managers, take responsibility for the entire unit across the country. You will be a good representative for the entire authority in extensive external collaborations with various societal actors. The role also includes workplace responsibility for the section in Bergslagen and coordination responsibility for the entire office in Örebro.
The role also involves creating the best possible conditions for operational work by actively identifying and removing obstacles. The mission also includes continuously developing both the section's and the unit's personnel and managers to strengthen the organization's competence and efficiency. Furthermore, the role is responsible for developing existing and establishing new, well-functioning forms of collaboration with other authorities and organizations.
Your placement will be at the regional office in Örebro. Travel will occur both domestically and internationally.
The qualifications we are looking for
Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- Academic degree, officer's degree, or police degree
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial position at an indirect level
- Experience in external collaboration with police, defense, and other authorities
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Driver's license B
Employment requires Swedish citizenship.
If you are applying, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience in operational intelligence work at a police or defense intelligence authority
- Managerial experience from a government authority
- Experience in trust-based working methods
- Experience in change management

The Security Police places high demands on security and confidentiality; therefore, we expect you to have a high security awareness.
Employment conditions and benefits
Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment with the Security Police involves placement in a security class. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security review with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime.
